This game was developed by Maxim Tsai, known as adayofjoy on Reddit and Itch.io, in collaboration with US animation artist Theresa Kao, who is interested in exploring how animation can be adapted to macabre contexts. Exhibit of Sorrows only took four months to develop, and it is a successful example of an indie game finding a large audience.
